加利福尼亚大学洛杉矶分校(University of California, Los Angeles，简称UCLA)是位于美国加利福尼亚州洛杉矶市西木区(Westwood)的一所公立研究大学，是美国最顶尖的综合大学之一。UCLA是 美国商业金融、高科技产业、电影艺术等专业人才的摇篮，提供337个不同学科的学位，是全美培养尖端人才领域最广的大学。UCLA校园面积1.7平方公 里，里面共有163个建筑，注册在校共约28000名本科生与12000名研究生，是美国申请就读人数最多的大学。它是加利福尼亚大学系统中的第二所大 学，和加州大学伯克利分校(UC Berkeley)齐名。

1919年5月23日，当时的加利福尼亚州长威廉·史蒂文斯(William D. Stephens)签署命令成立加州大学的“南部分校”(Southern Branch)，学校的创始人是导演欧内斯特·摩尔(Ernest Carroll Moore)，1927年改名为“University of California at Los Angeles”，1958年改为现名。1919-1929年，学校位于今天称为佛尔蒙特大道(Vermont Avenue)的地方。1927年9月21日，新校区开始修建。1929年，UCLA搬到了今天的校址西木区，位于比佛利山庄(Beverley Hill)、盖蒂艺术中心(Getty Center)与好莱坞(Hollywood)附近，最初的四幢建筑是Royce Hall、Powell Library、Haines Hall和Kinsey Hall，当时学校有5500名学生。1933年，学校开始设立硕士学位，3年后开始设立博士学位。UCLA在二次大战后25年中取得了重大的发展，修建 了大量的校舍，学生人数大增。UCLA共有163栋建筑，占地419英亩，设有109个学术系、12个专业学院、800个研究机构，共有本科生 24,800人，研究生12,400人，专任教师3800人。
